Based in Cortona, Tuscany, where we grow vines since 1970.
We have transformed over time, but always in our own way: first grape growers, then winemakers, and finally bottlers.
We are the custodians of a historic, sharecropping-style estate, now a family-run winery.
We are passionate technicians rooted in tradition and territory, dedicated to finding the finest expression of Syrah, the key grape of our area.
We have transformed over time, but always in our own way: first grape growers, then winemakers, and finally bottlers.
The history of the Speranza family in Cortona began in 1970, when Alfredo Speranza left city life to pursue his dream of creating a farm where vines could be grown, and one day transformed into wine.
Now in its third generation, the estate has never stopped evolving, perfecting itself and innovating, while remaining faithful to that authentic inclination that has always set it apart.
Syrah has become one of the main grape varieties of the Cortona DOC area, representing about 80% of production. Studies have shown how the climate and soils of Cortona are particularly suited to this Rhône Valley variety.
We produce only wines that tell the story of our land and our family. Limited quantities, maximum quality.
